Friday, August 20th, 2010Good news! Remember the Sage XP? You know, the rod fly fishermen have missed and have been looking for, for the past few years? Well, Sage’s new rod line for 2011 includes the Sage VXP. These rods are now available at A.A. Outfitters (some models available now and the rest in a few weeks). Notice the “XP” conspicuously included in the new Sage VXP. Well, that’s there for a reason. I casted these new rods and they remind me of the XP as close as anything I’ve tried. And, as if this great news doesn’t make you happy enough, how about the $485.00 to $525.00 price tag! Not bad for the rod we’ve been having the most requests for since the XP was discontinued.
