PRODUCT REVIEW – SIMMS HEADWATERS WADING BOOTS AND SIMMS HARD BITE BOOT CLEATS

I gave the Simms Headwaters Wading Boots with the inserted hardbite studs a try this past weekend. The studs were easy to insert using a cordless drill/driver. The boots fit very well, were very easy to get on and off, were comfortable and noticeably light. I chose the Headwaters because I put on a few miles fishing this past weekend and thought these lightweight boots would help when hiking some miles. I was not disappointed. The hardbite studs made for some confident wading and definitely helped in some tough footing. Great boots and studs. Highly recommend these. As usual, Simms has made a great product for Fishermen!

Tiemco Dry Magic – Our Biggest Selling Fly Floatant. Use on any Dry Fly including CDC Flies. Use this personally and there simply is nothing better.

Simms Vibram Sole Wading Boots – Good feedback from dozens of Customers who have bought these boots. One Customer said he felt he could “walk up a wall” with the vibram sole/removable stud combination. Of course these Simms boots will last for years, as usual, because of Simms consistent quality, which make these great VALUE.

PRODUCT REVIEWS – 4-29-09

Quick review of a few products we’ve been using at A.A. Outfitters.

One of our local Guides, Mark , has tried the new Simms Rivershed Streamtread Boots, with vibram soles. Mark reports the vibram soles, without studs provided better traction in the stream than his previous brand with felt and studs! Our Simms Rep also reported using the Simms Boots with Streamtread Vibram Soles in Montana, with very good results. These boots are comfortable, provide great traction, and will last for years … like all Simms products.

Rio Gold Fly Line – I’ve used this line for Trout in a WF4 last season and a few times this season and it’s a great all-around line for Trout. Casts and shoots well, floats high, easy pick-up and a nice presentation.

Simms Goretex Waders – ALL models have sold like crazy here at A.A. Outfitters and it’s extremely rare to find someone who doesn’t love the Simms Goretex Waders. The G3 Guide Wader is out biggest seller and I’ve been wearing a pair for awhile … they’re great.
