Well, we wanted rain and we got it! After the worst Summer conditions in years (or maybe ever) because of drought and extreme heat, we prayed for rain. Last week we got 6 to 9 inches of rain in, depending on exact location, 2 days. After a brief reprise from the rain, it rained another inch or so in the past 3 days. So ….. now we have way too much water for good, or even safe fishing. Most every stream is blown out with extreme high water conditions. We’ll have to wait a week or so to see if things get back to normal here in the Poconos.

The weather has been favorable the past few weeks for fishing here in the Poconos. Relatively warm weather and near perfect water levels have provided for some decent Fall Fly Fishing around the Shop, in Blakeslee, Pa.
