Water levels are good and weather is great for fishing here in the Poconos and Northeast Pa. Recent Rains (most of May and June) and high temps only in the 70s have created very good water conditions for fish and fishermen.

Decent fishing this past weekend on the Mass. North Shore for Stripers. My Buddy Ed and I landed about 30 Stripers this past weekend in the Plum Island, Joppa Flats Area in Mass. Not exactly “easy” fishing but not too bad considering it was sunny most of the time. We boated 3 fish over 31 inches and another keeper got off before we got it in the boat. Overall … a good trip. Capt. Barry Clemson helped us out and, as usual, offered his expertise in finding fish. Striper Fishing has been very good lately on Massachusetts’ North Shore. Guide Barry Clemson has been giving us good reports the past week or so with good numbers of Stripers up on bait and decent catches of “‘keeper sized” fish. Fishing has been very good here in the Poconos for the past few weeks. We’ve been getting rain almost “as needed”, keeping water levels up. Water and air temps have been great for fishing. Lots of cool days with showers. No droughts or flooding yet this season, first time in years! Good hatches of BWOs, Slate Drakes, Sulphurs and Caddis. March Browns about over. Bog Yellow Stoneflies should be getting started on the Lehigh. My only concern so far this season is the VERY INCONSISTENT water flows on the lower Lehigh so far this season. Not sure the reason for some water releases mixed with alternating low flows! Give us a call or stop in A.A.
