I realize I’m biased, being a Fly Shop Owner but … as this economic turmoil continues, please try to remember your local fly shop’s existence depends totally on your support. It might be a good idea to forego some of the Ebay deals and “big-box” stores to give some support to your local Fly Shop. You may be passing up a few dollars in savings but think about every dollar NOT spent in a full service Fly Shop may add up to the closing of that business. The end result could be no more Fly Shops, no more advise, no more Fly Shop near the River you’re going to, no more help with fly selection or hatch charts or water conditions and no place close to check out the gear you’re considering buying. Think of a world with 2 Cabelas in each state and Ebay as your only option for fly fishing gear, information, advise, teaching and help! What if you HAD to go to Cabelas or Ebay when you needed a few things … not very convenient! We (Fly Shops) need your support and appreciate it. Thanks!
